Finansförbundet has unified employees in the banking and finance sectors since 1887. Our aim is to offer the help you need, so you can focus on your future career. We seek to improve salaries, work-life balance and working conditions.
Our members have access to unique salary statistics for the banking and finance industry. By comparing your job with similar positions, you’ll have the information you need in salary discussions. These statistics are compiled annually and are only available to our members. Starting out on the right salary lays the foundations for a successful career.
Are you seeking an extra job or summer work? We can check your employment contract.
No one knows the banking and finance industries as well as us. We’ve been around since 1887 and have around 30,000 members in banking and financial jobs all over Sweden. As a student member, you can find out about the industry through reports, seminars, lectures, activities and our Finansliv magazine. In addition, you’ll have access to a network of 1,700 elected representatives at workplaces around the country.
If you write a text about the financial sector, equality or diversity, you can apply for our essay grant. Awards of up to SEK 25,000 per semester are made to one or more entrants. In addition, Centrala Jämställdhets- och Mångfaldskommittén (the Central Swedish Equality and Diversity Committee), awards a scholarship of SEK 20,000 for one essay per year.
As a member, you can get expert help with sharpening your CV and LinkedIn profile. You can also receive interview training and help preparing for aptitude tests that are often a part of job applications. We offer test training in collaboration with Squidfactor.
While you’re studying and for your first three months of employment, membership is free. If you transfer directly from student to regular membership, you’ll pay a reduced rate of SEK 100 a month for the following nine months.
