Joining a-kassan is a requirement for eligibility to our income insurance and is strongly recommended in all cases.
In order to receive benefits from a-kassan you need to:
- have been paying into the fund for at least 12 months.
- Be registered with Arbetsförmedlingen, the Swedish public employment service, since the first day you are seeking to claim benefit.
