When you’re in a union, you have more of a say about your future at work.
– It doesn’t matter if you’ve been at Klarna for a long time or recently started, the union provides security if something happens. There might suddenly be layoffs, or a business unit is divested to another company, Jon-Artur explains, who will candidate to be one of the local representatives at Klarna.
One of his priorities is fair pay – he firmly believes that employees with the same tasks should also be paid the same salary. Another issue that he’s invested in is job security.
– At the moment, when you come back from parental or study leave, you can end up in any department, not necessarily with your former teammates who you know and feel comfortable with, says Jon-Artur.
